A Kuwait-Hyderabad IndiGo flight made an emergency landing in Mumbai on Tuesday morning following a bomb threat.

The flight 6E-1234—an Airbus A321-251NX—took off from Kuwait at 1:56 am and landed safely at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 7.45 am, according to reports.

They said the Hyderabad airport received a detailed email which warned of a ‘human bomb’ on board the flight.

Security teams, including emergency responders, were on standby as the flight landed at the airport and was checked in the isolation area.

The airline has yet to give an official statement.

Last month, IndiGo received a message that there was a bomb threat for five airports—Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram.

The message ha claimed that these the five airports would be attacked within 24 hours.

The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) convened at the Delhi airport, and later the threat was declared as "non-specific".

Security measures have been enhanced at all the civil aviation installations like airports, airstrips, airfields, air force stations, helipads, flying schools and aviation training institute following the Delhi car blast on November 10.
