A day after the deadly blast that killed at least 13 people at near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station, a university in Haryana's Faridabad has become the centre of attention as the most of the arrested doctors and the suicide attack suspect were working there.
Dr Umar un Nabi, the Red Fort blast suspect, was an alumnus of Al Falah Medical College, which was part of the Al Falah University in Dhauj, Faridabad. Dr Muzammil Shakeel and Dr Shaheen Shahid, who were arrested hours before the blast over possession of arms and ammunition, were also working at Al Falah University.
Who runs Al Falah University?
The Dhauj-based university, operated by the Al Falah Charitable Trust in 2014, is spread across 70 acres. Recognised by the UGC in 2015, it has an A grade NAAC accreditation. It also operates a 650-bed Al Falah Hospital.

The authorities are now probing whether Al Falah University's laboratories were used to make explosives used in the Red Fort blast that killed at least 13 on Monday evening. Police have also seized 2,900 kg of IED-making material from the terrorists.
Dr Shaheen Shahid, the woman doctor from Uttar Pradesh who was detained by Jammu and Kashmir police for alleged involvement with a multi-state terror module, was also working at the university. She was allegedly tasked with creating the woman wing of Jaish-e-Mohammad.
The authorities have released the first photo of Dr Shaheen, a resident of Lal Bagh, Uttar Pradesh. She was nabbed after investigators from Jammu and Kashmir recovered weapons and ammunition from her Haryana-registered Swift Dzire car. The seized firearms included one AK Krinkov rifle with three magazines, a pistol with live rounds, two empty cartridges, and two additional magazines.
The car was in the possession of Dr Muzammil Shakeel, 35, a physician residing in Koil, Pulwama, who was arrested previously. He was also working at Al Falah University, from where police arrested him.
Police also arrested a scholar from a mosque near the university over alleged links with Muzammil.
