Five districts in Kerala will be under orange alert on Friday after depressions formed over the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, according to the India Meteorological Department.
These include northern districts like Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. These district are expected to get 115.6 to 204.4 mm rain.

Five districts will be under yellow alert, including Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad. Around 64.5 to 115.5 mm rain is expected in these districts.
Kerala will witness moderate rainfall, which could be accompanied by rain, over the next five days, according to the weatherman.
On Thursday, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod were issued orange alert while districts like Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts were under yellow alert.
IMD warned that the cyclonic storm over southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Andaman Sea would intensify into a low pressure are over the southeast Bay of Bengal tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the deep depression over southeast Arabian Sea is expected to move northeastwards to central Arabian Sea in the next 24 hours.
It has also issued yellow alert for Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on Monday, October 27.
