Days after his nightly pilgrimage was postponed indefinitely, speculations continue about Saint Premanand Maharaj's failing health.

Vrindavan's renowned Rasik Saint, seen in many viral videos with swollen eyes and lips, and a sick pallor, is reportedly suffering from kidney failure, which requires daily dialysis for four hours per day.

Mahamandleshwar (spiritual leader) Naval Yogi is now the latest to have offered to donate a kidney to save Maharaj. However, the latter has repeatedly declined, as he does not want to cause people the pain of having to donate a kidney.

However, the Shri Keli Kunj Ashram said in a formal statement that the reputed saint's health was stable, and that his daily routine would continue, despite his medical issues.

"His health is perfectly fine. Please do not share any misleading news or videos about him,” the Ashram said in an official statement.

The Shri Keli Kunj Ashram added that while his customary early morning padayatra remains postponed until further notice, his other daily activities would continue.

“Both kidneys have failed, tell me what is there to be fixed now? Nothing else needs fixing,” Maharaj has reportedly said about his condition.

Maharaj, who was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease—a genetic condition that causes kidneys to lose function—years ago, has amassed a huge following due to his lessons.

Notably, concern for the saint has transcended religious boundaries, with a Muslim devotee, Sufiyan Allahabadi, recently going viral for a video in which he was seen praying for Maharaj’s health from the holy city of Medina in Saudi Arabia.

In the video, Sufiyan holds up a photo of the saint on his phone, and calls him “a very good person” before praying.

“From here, we pray that Allah grants him health and wellness,” he added.
