Ananya Joshi, a 2024 Biotechnology graduate from Northwestern University, is in the spotlight after her emotional video of bidding adieu to the United States went viral on social media.

America was my first home as a financially independent adult and that will always be a special thing to me. Though short lived, I really appreciate the life you gave me AMERICA, I LOVE YOU🇺🇸❤️," mentioned her recent Instagram post.
In a previous post on LinkedIn, Ananya had mentioned how she was laid off from work as part of company-wide downsizing. She clarified that she was actively looking for her next opportunity in the field and had to secure a role within a month to remain in the US.
However, due to reasons unknown, Ananya informed her followers that she was leaving the US, with a post that ended up with netizens calling her out on social media. The video shows her leaving the country on an Etihad flight in a first-class suite to reach Dubai to pursue another job.
"Left the American dream to pursue Dubai dream and weeping in a first class, such a tough life," mentioned one of the comments under her post.
"Being this privileged and crying in etihad business class is such a struggle,"another user commented.
