A KSRTC driver on the Alappuzha-Aroor route recently went viral on social media after attempting to hit a student protesting in front of the bus.

The incident took place in front of a private hotel in Aroor, where Yadhukrishna, a student from Kothamangalam, had been driving a bike on the same route when the bus passed him by, splashing muddy water all over him.

The student had been on his way to college, but this delayed him.

Enraged, he tried to stop the bus by standing in front of it. However, the driver of the Thiruvananthapuram-Angamaly KSRTC Swift bus ignored his protests and slowly continued to drive, despite Yadhukrishna standing right in front of it, a Manorama Online report said.

As he continued to get pushed back further by the slowly-moving bus, locals nearby intervened, after which the driver finally stopped.

The student's family has declared that they will file a complaint with the police regarding the incident.

This is not the first incident of rash driving by Kerala's KSRTC drivers.

Just two days ago, a Thalassery-bound KSRTC passenger bus collided with another KSRTC superfast bus from the back on a six-lane highway near Chettan Moodalan in Kuttipuram, as per a Manorama Online report.

21 were injured after multiple passengers were thrown out of their seats due to the force of the impact.

The injured were given primary treatment at the Taluk Government Hospital and private hospitals in the city.
