The farewell ceremony for the Maharashtra leader of opposition in state legislative council, Ambadas Danve, turned out to be interesting on Wednesday. Danve's term as MLC and LoP is ending on Friday. So farewell ceremony was organised on Wednesday in state legislature. Speeches praising contribution of Danve were made by CM Devendra Fadnavis, deputy CM Eknath Shinde and former CM Uddhav Thackeray.

Fadnavis who had met Thackeray in the lobby earlier told him in the house that there was no scope for Fadnavis to come to Opposition side till 2029. "But you can come to our side. There is scope for that. We will have to sit separately and discuss things again," said Fadnavis, aiming at Uddhav Thackeray who is also a member of the legislative council.

After the speeches, there was time for a customary photo session with the outgoing leader of opposition.

So the chairs were arranged. Seated in the row of 10 chairs was Danve with CM Fadnavis, deputy cm Ajit Pawar, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde on his other side. Then entered Uddhav Thackeray.

The chair vacant for him was next to Eknath Shinde. When Uddhav entered the scene all the dignitaries including Fadnavis and Shinde got up as a gesture of respect to Thackeray. Thackeray spoke to Fadnavis, exchanged pleasantries.

Thackeray said namaskar to everyone. But when it came to Shinde, neither of them looked at each other. Shinde busied himself, talking to Ram Shinde while Uddhav kept speaking to Shinde’s colleague and Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe. Finally it was Gorhe who sat between Shinde and Thackeray. It was just one photo session with many political angles hidden inside.
