In a subtle dig at INDIA allies, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah posted on social media, saying they should keep fighting between themselves lending BJP an easy victory in the elections.

The National Conference leader shared a GIF that read "aur lado, jee bhar ke lado. Samapth kardo ek doosre ko" (keep fighting, fight to your heart's content. Finish off each other). He also gave a caption, saying,  "aur lado aapas mein" (keep fighting among yourselves).

The remarks come as BJP inched closer to clinching a decisive victory in the Delhi assembly elections. BJP was leading in around 40 of the 70 assembly seats in Delhi while AAP was ahead in 30 and Congress trailing in all constituencies.

Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir CM said INDIA bloc should be disbanded if it was created just for the Lok Sabha elections. "As far as I remember, there was no time limit to the INDIA alliance. Unfortunately, no INDIA alliance meeting is being organised so there is no clarity about leadership, agenda, or the existence (of the bloc).

The AAP and the Congress fought the general elections together in 2024 but BJP claimed all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. They also lost the assembly polls in Haryana after fighting separately.

The Congress had labelled AAP as BJP's B-team while the latter accused the former of being the same.

Notably, AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal was trailing behind BJP candidate Parvesh Verma in New Delhi by 430 votes after eight rounds of counting. Chief Minister Atishi was also trailing in Kalkaji behind the BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri by 3,231 votes.
