On Republic Day, the Delhi tableau at the Kartavya Path stood out for its focus on the capital’s role as a hub for quality education, research, and technological advancement.
The tableau collectively showcased its position in the education sector and its development in terms of digitalisation, improvement in higher education, and use of technology, especially robotics in the medical field.
The display was showcased by vibrant imagery of a girl working with the laboratory instrument, children striving to reach new heights of success, and the tree of knowledge emerging from a laptop, illustrating Delhi’s advancements in education.
The theme of Delhi’s tableau was chosen carefully; in many ways, it symbolised the efforts made by the AAP government since 2015, highlighting what it terms as definite steps to revolutionise education in the capital.
Initiatives like the ‘Happiness Curriculum,’ ‘Mission Buniyaad,’ and international teacher training programmes have been touted as efforts that have improved public schools, addressing prior shortages of benches and books, and increasing funds allocated to education since 2015.
With free education for children and infrastructure improvements becoming the focus, AAP claims Delhi’s public schools, catering to 1.5 million students, are an example of the city’s commitment to accessible, quality education.

Sixteen tableaux have been brought from both the states and union territories along with fifteen from the central ministries and organisations.
The Delhi Republic Day tableau, meanwhile, did not fail to get noticed and reminded onlookers of the AAP government’s vision. With assembly elections in Delhi around the corner, highlighting the role of education in shaping Delhi’s future was a good start.
