Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar witnessed a jilted lover castrating her long-term boyfriend inside a hotel room on Sunday. The youngster is undergoing treatment at the district hospital where his condition remains critical.
According to reports, the man and woman hailed from a village under the Charthawal police station area in Muzaffarnagar district. They were together for over eight years but the man's family disapproved of the relationship.
Recently, the young man's family found him another match and convinced him to break up with his girlfriend. The man decided to convince his partner to leave the relationship and summoned her to a hotel in the Civil Lines police station area of Muzaffarnagar.
The couple had a fight inside the hotel room as the youth tried to explain why they should part ways and the girl attacked him. In a fit of rage, she pulled out a knife and attacked him, news reports said, before chopping off his genitals.
It was Muzaffarnagar Police who arrived at the spot that rushed him to the hospital, news agency PTI said. Locals alerted the cops of the development after they heard the commotion from the hotel room, reports said.
The woman has been detained for interrogation, Civil Lines police station SHO Ashutosh told the media.
