Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress party for skipping the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram temple and said the party is now “resolved” to destroy ‘Shakti’ in Hinduism.

Addressing a poll campaign in Uttarakhand, Modi said, “Congress had raised many questions on the existence of Lord Ram. Even after they were invited to Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha' they boycotted it. Now, they have resolved and announced in public that they will destroy the 'Shakti' in the Hindu religion,” ANI reported. The prime minister said voters should give a befitting reply to those trying to destroy Shakti.

Highlighting road and rail development under the BJP regime in Uttarakhand, Modi said, "We are continuously increasing rail, road and air connectivity in Uttarakhand. Work is underway on the Rishikesh -Karanprayag railway line. Distance between Delhi to Dehradun is also reducing. Border villages which were called 'last villages' under Congress are now being developed under the BJP government. Air services have started to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. 900-kilometre-long highway is also being built to connect Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath.”

Modi added that the Opposition’s anger against him is at its height as he stopped corrupt from looting. Saying enemies took advantage and terrorism spread under weak, unstable governments, “Under strong Modi government,” he said, “Our forces are killing terrorists on their own turf.”
