Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday released its first list of 16 nominees for the Lok Sabha elections.

Eleven of the names were already announced by the party chief Uddhav Thackeray. All five sitting MPs have been renominated. 

The candidate list includes former Union ministers Arvind Sawant who has been fielded in South Mumbai and Anant Geete will contest from Raigad.

Amol Kirtikar will contest from Mumbai Northwest and Anil Desai from Mumbai South-Central while Sanjay Patil has been fielded in Mumbai Northeast and Rajan Vichare in Thane.

Other candidates include Chandrahar Patil in Sangli, Narendra Khedekar in Buldhana, Sanjay Deshmukh in Yavatmal-Vashim, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar in Hingoli, Chandrakant Khaire in Sambhajinagar, Omraje Nimbalkar in Dharashiv, Bhausaheb Veghchaure in Shirdi, Rajabhau Waze in Nashik, Sanjay Jadhav in Parbhani, Vinayak Raut in Sindhudurg-Ratnagiri and Sanjog Vaghere-Patil in Maval.

The Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is set to release its first candidate list this week.
