The banquet hall situated in Delhi's Dwarka Sector-3, just seven kilometres away from Tihar jail, will host a unique marriage function on Tuesday. Enveloped in tight security, Santosh Garden will turn into the wedding venue for jailed gangster Kala Jathedi aka Sandeep and 'Lady Don of Rajasthan' Anuradha Choudhary.

The wedding isn't an ordinary one, for over 200 policemen will keep a watch over the venue. Doorframe metal detectors, CCTV cameras, drones and armed commandoes will ensure a tight vigil at the venue where Kala Jathedi, a prominent member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, will wed Choudhary.

"The doorframe metal detectors have been set up at the entry of the banquet. The guests will be given the bar-code bands before their entry and no vehicle without the entry pass will be allowed for the parking near the banquet," a Delhi police officer told PTI.

Kala Jathedi, who hails from Haryana's Sonipat, was working as a cable operator after clearing class 12 when he turned to crime. Though he was accused of only petty crimes initially, including chain snatching, soon reports emerged of his involvement in murder cases.

He is an accused in several murder, kidnapping, robbery, ransom, and land-grabbing cases in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. He is also being investigated for his suspected role in the killing of Sidhu Moosewala.

The gangsters is also involved in several cases of contract killings and extortion. In the past, Kala Jathedi has fled once from the custody of Haryana Police and also orchestrated an escape of his associate from the custody of Delhi Police.

He is presently lodged in Tihar jail and got parole of six hours for his marriage by a Delhi court.

As for his bride Anuradha Choudhary, unconfirmed reports claim the couple were already married in 2020. Choudhary, nicknamed 'Madame Minz' was once married to businessman Felix Deepak Minz before they went bankrupt and went separate ways in 2013. It was then that she turned into the world of crime.

She later joined Rajasthan's gangster Anand Pal Singh's gang where she allegedly taught Singh English. However, after Singh's death, Anuradha joined the Lawrence Bishnoi gang where she met Kala Jathedi. They were arrested together in 2021. While Anuradha is on bail, Jathedi is lodged in Tihar after his arrest.

It was Jathedi’s legal team who carried out the wedding preparations. While from Anuradha’s side, her sister and brother will be in attendance, the guest list fromJathedi's side was shared with DCP Dwarka on Monday itself.

Anuradha has earlier spoken out about her intention to quit the world of crime and start an NGO.
