Haryana shocker: Class 10 boy shot for confronting bikers harassing his mother, sister

In a shocking incident in Haryana, a schoolboy was reportedly shot and injured for questioning a group of men who harassed his mother and sister. The incident took place in Palwal district on Thursday night, reports said.

The boy, a student of class 10, was engaged in the cow dung cake business with the women of his family when the incident took place. As they were heading home at night, eight or nine bike-borne men started harassing the two women, the police were quoted as saying by India Today. The gang had three motorbikes and they followed the family, forcing the boy to stand up against them.

Irked by the teenager's resistance to their advancements, one of the bikers pulled out a gun and fired. However, the boy shielded himself using both his hands and took a bullet in his arm, the India Today report added.

A case was registered against eight people in connection with the incident after the boy was admitted to a hospital. He has managed to identify one of the men involved in the incident, the Haryana police was quoted as saying.
