Goa minor murder: Police recovers handwritten note from Suchana Seth, mentions troubled marriage

Goa police have recovered a handwritten note from Bengaluru techie Suchana Seth, accused of murdering her four-year-old son during their vacation in Goa. Police have sent the note to the Forensic Science Laboratory for examination by handwriting experts.

According to police, in the note, written on a tissue paper using eyeliner, Seth mentions about her bitter relationship with her husband, NDTV reported. A senior police official told PTI that they recovered a crumbled note from Seth’s bag. The officer said the contents on the note “indicate she was upset over the custody of her child”.

A senior police official said that a crumpled note, scribbled with eyeliner on a tissue paper, was found in her bag. “We would not like to disclose the content of the note but it indicates that she was upset over the custody of her child,” he said. According to police, the Court had granted visitation rights to her estranged husband Venkat Raman and it had not gone down well with the accused. Seth will be undergoing medical examination and psychological evaluation, police said.

The Goa police on Monday arrested Suchana Seth, the Chief Executive Officer of a Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence startup for murdering her four-year-old son. The body of the child was recovered from a bag carried by the accused Suchana Seth. 

The Goa police nabbed her with the support of Karnataka police in Chitradurga, Karnataka, while she was trying to flee with the body of her son. According to police, Seth, who checked into a Goa hotel along with her son on January 6 got noticed by hotel staff after she checked out from the hotel alone and staff noticed blood stains in the room.
