Former Telangana chief minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has been hospitalised after a fall at his farmhouse at Erravelli in the suburbs of Hyderabad on Thursday. As per reports, KCR has been admitted to the Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad.
He reportedly suffered a hairline fracture and will likely undergo surgery. His health condition is said to be stable.
KCR, who was ousted from power in the recently-concluded Telangana Assembly elections, had been staying at his farmhouse in Erravalli since he left Pragati Bhavan (now renamed Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan) on the day of results. He lost Kamareddy, the second constituency he contested but won from Gajwel.
The BRS lost the elections to the Congress, securing 39 out of the total 119 seats. The Congress bagged 64 seats.
More details awaited.
