The Election Commission on Sunday searched the vehicle of Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader and MLC K. Kavitha while she was en route for campaigning in Dharmapuri. This is the second time her vehicle has been searched by EC this month.
According to reports, Kavitha, daughter of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was travelling to Dharmapuri to campaign for the upcoming Assembly polls in the state. The leader’s car was stopped by the election body and searched near the Chalgal check post in Karim Nagar.
A person in the know of the developments told ANI, “Officials of the Election Commission checked the car of BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha at Chalgal check post while she was on her way to Dharmapuri to campaign for the Assembly elections.” The source added BRS leader drove off to the event following the checking. Her vehicle was checked earlier on November 7 by EC in Nizamabad.
A video viral on social media shows Kavitha waiting aside while officials were checking her vehicle.
