Addressing the nation in the 104th episode of his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said Chandrayaan-3 is a living example of women power as he congratulated women scientists and engineers involved in the mission.

Modi said the daughters of India are now challenging even space, adding that "when the daughters of a country become so ambitious, then who can stop that country from becoming developed," he said.

"There is one aspect of this mission, which I especially want to discuss with you. When the capability of women power is added, the impossible becomes possible," he said. "We have soared so high because our dreams are big and so are our efforts."

Inclusive G20 forum

Calling India's G20 presidency as a "people's presidency", Modi revealed how the delegates were inspired by the country's diversity. He added that the country is fully prepared for the upcoming G20 summit in September.

"This will be the biggest participation ever in the history of the G20 Summit," the PM said. "During her presidency, India has made G20 a more inclusive forum. The African Union also joined the G20 on India's invitation and the voice of the people of Africa reached this important platform of the world."

"Moving away from the tradition of holding big events in Delhi, we took them to different cities of the country. About 200 meetings related to this were organised in 60 cities across the country. Wherever G20 delegates went, people warmly welcomed them. These delegates were very impressed, seeing the diversity of our country and our vibrant democracy," Modi said.

The PM added that over 1.5 crore people have been associated with G20 events across the country. "In this effort of ours for public participation, not one, but two world records have been created. The participation of 1.25 lakh students from 800 schools in the G20 Quiz held in Varanasi became a new world record. At the same time, Lambani artisans also did wonders. 450 artisans have showcased their skill and craftsmanship by creating an amazing collection of around 1,800 'Unique Patches'," he said.

World Sanskrit Day

Ahead of the World Sanskrit Day on August 31, the PM lauded the efforts taken to promote Sanskrit in recent times.

“We all know that Sanskrit is one of the oldest languages in the world. It is also called the mother of many modern languages. Sanskrit is known for its antiquity as well as for its scientificity and grammar.”

Talking about the success of the Har Gar Tiranga campaign, Modi said 10 crore people submitted selfies with the Tricolour.

He also interacted with young athletes who won record number of medals in World University Games in China.
