At least 10 people have died after a power transformer exploded on the banks of the Alaknanda River at Chamoli district in Uttarakhand.
According to Chamoli SP Parmendra Doval, the injured have been admitted to the district hospital. "10 people have died so far, including the outpost in charge of Pipalkoti," Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar told ANI.
The victims were reportedly working at the Namami Gange project site.
