A few days ago, a video has gone viral in which a man, claiming to be a Muslim by the name of Rashid Khan hailing from Bulandshahr, justified the brutal murder of Shraddha Walkar (27) by her live-in partner Aftab Amin Poonawala.
Speaking to a reporter, Vikas Kumar, who pretended to be a Muslim, sought to justify the gruesome murder saying such things happen in rage and maybe the body would be cut into 36 pieces, not 35. He said he too would have done the same.
When the reporter asked him what his name was, he said it was Rashid Khan.
He said Aftab may have made a mistake and chopped Shraddha's body into 35 pieces, and claimed that both Shraddha and Aftab may have committed mistakes.
Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said Vikas has a criminal record. There are cases registered against him in Bulandshahr and Noida relating to theft and carrying illegal arms, according to NDTV.
After he was arrested, Vikas claimed that he didn't realize his comments would blow up. Vikas said he now fears he will be killed "either here or in prison" when asked if he regrets his actions and comments.

Poonawala allegedly strangled Walkar 27 and sawed her body into 35 pieces, which he kept in a 300-litre fridge for almost three weeks at his residence in south Delhi's Mehrauli before dumping those across the city over several days past midnight.
