Even as a week remains for the first phase of polling in Gujarat, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to Congress supporters not to vote for them this time.

In a video-recorded message in Gujarati, Kejriwal requested the Congress supporters to vote for the AAP. "Have you been voting for the Congress? This time do not vote for the Congress because voting for them would mean wasting your vote," he said.

The Delhi chief minister seemed to be reading out a message.

After the victory in Punjab, the AAP has been aggressively campaigning in Gujarat and has managed to challenge both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress. However, both parties do not acknowledge the presence of the AAP and claim that the fight is between them.

Gujarat votes on December 1 and 5 to elect 182 lawmakers.

Interestingly, Kejriwal has so far not appealed to BJP supporters. The Congress has been alleging since long that the AAP is the 'B' team of the BJP.

Indranil Rajguru, one of the Congress turncoats who came back to the party after joining the AAP for a couple of months, has alleged that the AAP plans strategy in such a manner that it makes a dent in the Congress vote share.

Claiming that Congress is not going to form the government, Kejriwal said that the party will win less than five seats. He "predicted" that the ones who win will also join the BJP.  He added that there is an atmosphere in the favour of the AAP and the party will surely form the government if people voted for it.

A big change is going to happen in Gujarat, he said, claiming that the Almighty is to do a miracle. "You too become a part of the change by God’s wish," he concluded.
