The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the UGC-NET results for the December 2021 and June 2022 sessions, on Saturday. Candidates can check results on the NTA website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

On Friday, University Grants Commission Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar had announced that the results would be published on November 5.

“UGC-NET results will be announced by National Testing Agency (NTA) on 5th November (Saturday). The results will be available on NTA website nta.ac.in,” he had said in a tweet.

The NTA conducts UGC-NET exams twice a year.  However, due to Covid-19 pandemic, December 2021 session was postponed and the NTA merged both December 2021 and June 2022 sessions to regularise the examination cycle. The exams were held in four phases in the months of July, September and October.

On November 1, the UGC released the final answer key on their website.

UGC-NET is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.

Awarding of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professorship depends on the aggregate performance of the candidate in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not to be considered for the awarding of JRF.

Candidates who qualify the eligibility test for Assistant Professorship are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the universities/colleges/state governments concerned, as the case may be, as per information published on the NTA website.
