Tuliram Ronghang has always been involved in activities that have benefitted community in some way. This passion pushed him to take up a career in politics in 2013. Since his foray into the world of politics, he has been making drastic changes concerning the developments of the state which has resulted in being elected as the Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC). The KAAC is governed under the provision of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India. Furthermore, he got the cabinet status from the CM of Assam, taking him a step ahead in his political career. His work has been widely appreciated, since he has lent his hands of support in every possible cause. The most recent was raising Rs. 1.7 crores for migrant workers who were worst hit due to the global pandemic.

Besides serving as the Chief Executive member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu, Government of Assam, he also holds the post of Vice President, Assam Olympic Association. Many social and educational projects have seen the light of the day under his leadership. Being a grassroot level politician, he gained enough credibility amongst political circles who look up to him for matters related to the state. His ties with most political big wigs is known as he has been seen on many occasions in the company of eminent personalities from the political world like Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Amit Shah, and more. Recently, he joined hands with the CM drugs eradication mission to curb this menace from the society. We see him emerge as one of the top most politicians in the near future, going by the exceptional work he's been carrying on since long.

He helped thousands of citizens during the first and the second wave of the corona outbreaks. He took into consideration the struggles of the common people during the Coronavirus pandemic, he contributed to sending migrant labourers back to their houses.He even distributed Hand Sanitisers, Masks and food packets to thousands of needy people during the lockdown periods.
