Ivanka Trump made a pretty splash at Hyderabad House on Tuesday afternoon, where she was present as part of the official US delegation.
While First Lady Melania was away visiting a school, Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, who is a senior advisor in White House, were with President Donald Trump during the official engagements.
Dressed in an ivory pantsuit with a mandarin collar, teamed with kitten heels, Ivanka was the cynosure of all eyes, including her doting Papa's. The Indian styled diamond danglers added a dash of bling to her otherwise chic business look.
Trump made special mention of Ivanka's contribution in strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries. He spoke about how she represented the United States at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad in 2017, following which the US had started the W-GDP initiative to empower entrepreneurs from "New Delhi to Kolkata". The doting dad said, "Ivanka, well done," as she beamed from her front row seat.
It is but natural for watchers to compare the dress style of the two Trump women in the delegation. Both have distinct styles. While the First Lady is a former model, Ivanka is a designer who had her own line of clothes. She put her entrepreneurship on hold after her father became President.
On Tuesday, Ivanka scored points on sustainability for repeating a dress. For a visit to Sabarmati Ashram, that was indeed a good sartorial decision, whether or not it was intentional.
Ivanka, 38, is Trump's second child, from his first wife Ivana. She is the only one of his five children (three sons, two daughters) to be involved in White House. She is a mother of three.
