Madhya Pradesh leader of opposition Gopal Bhargava asked Jyotiraditya Scindia to walk out of Congress, Times of India reported. "If Scindia is really feeling embarrassed after the failure of his party's government, he should walk out of his party. Scindia was right since Congress had promised to waive farm loans in ten days if it came to power," Bhargava said, according to the publication.

A few days back, general secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia said his party needs to do some introspection. His comments come in the immediate aftermath of Salman Khurshid's claims of 'leadership vacuum', for which party spokespersons had censured the senior leader. Speaking to mediapersons, Scindia responded to a question about Khurshid's statement. "I don't comment on others' statement, but it is true that the Congress needs introspection. The party's situation should be assessed and improved, and this is the need of the hour," he said. Khurshid had said on Monday that the Congress was taking too long to come to terms with its defeat in general elections. "Our biggest problem is our leader has walked away," Khurshid said, referring to Rahul Gandhi's resignation as party chief.
Later, posters put up by a BJP worker at Bhind district headquarters welcoming Congress national general secretary and ex-Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia went viral, sparking rumours, again, that the BJP might be trying to cosy up to Scindia. The posters, with a big photograph of Scindia waving, interestingly also carry images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The poster terming Scindia as shrimant (honorific used for him as scion of the Gwalior royal dynasty) and commending him for supporting the abrogation of Article 370 has been put up by BJP worker Hridesh Sharma, district president of the Bharat Raksha Manch. The Bharat Raksha Manch is headed by senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghunandan Sharma. Raghunandan Sharma's photo also appears on the posters.
