The 28 Lok Sabha constituencies of Karnataka will go to polls in phases two and three of the general elections. Fourteen constituencies would go to polls on April 18, while the remaining 14 will vote on April 23.
The following constituencies would go to polls on April 18: Udupi Chikmagalur, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore North, Bangalore Central, Bangalore South, Chikballapur and Kolar.
These 14 constituencies would vote on April 23: Chikkodi, Belgaum, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal, Bellary, Haveri, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere and Shimoga.
The contest in Karnataka is between the opposition BJP, which won the most number of seats in the May 2018 assembly polls, and the ruling Congress-JD(S) alliance. Here is the list of candidates contesting for the Congress-JD(S) alliance.
