UPSC civil services 2019: Registration begins, candidates can apply at upsc.gov.in till March 18

The registration for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil services preliminary examination has begun on Tuesday. Registration for those candidates interested in appearing for Indian Forest Service examination 2019 has also begun. IAS/IPS/IFS aspirants as well as those interested in Indian Forest Service exam can register for their respective preliminary exams at upsc.gov.in from Tuesday.

The official notification regarding the same has been released by the UPSC at upsc.gov.in

How to apply for UPSC civil services and Indian Forest Service prelims 2019:

1. Visit the website https://upsconline.nic.in/

2. Click on the link "Online application for various examinations of UPSC”

3. You will be redirected to a new page. Click on the Part 1 registration given against Notice no 04/2019-CSP and 05/2019-IFS. 

4. This will lead you to the Part 1 Registration Form. UPSC candidates has to read the instructions carefully and must agree that he has read them before starting with the application form. 

5. Start filling the details in Part-I Registration by entering requisite information, particulars and details asked for. 

6. Click on "Continue" button at bottom of the page to go to the next step.

7. This will take you to the next page where you can claim age relaxation, in case you're eligible. Click on "Continue" at the bottom of the page.

8. Next submit details of ID proof, marks from graduate level examinations, etc.

9. After that select the centres for the exam you're attending: UPSC CS prelims 2019 or Indian Forest Service exams 2019.

Candidates appearing for Indian Forest Service exams 2019 will have to enter details of their preferred centre of appearance and optional subjects for the IFoS(Main) Examination. Change to these fields will not be considered at later stages.

10. Click on “Continue” button at bottom of the page to proceed to the next step. In case you need to revise or edit any information in the application form, click on "Update" button. 

11. Finally, click on "Agree" to complete the Part 1 of UPSC civil services prelims 2019 registration. Accepting to "Agree" only will submit the candidate’s online application, and the Part-I data submitted would be saved and a Registration ID would be generated for the candidate.

PART-II Registration

12. Remember that only Part-1 of the application process is completed by now. To proceed to Part-II, click on the Part II registration given against Notice no 04/2019-CSP and 05/2019-IFS at https://upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php

13. You can pay your exam fees, examination centre for Civil Services (Prelims) here .

14. Next step is to upload your Photograph, Signature and Photo ID as per the instructions given.

15. At the bottom of the page there is a "Declaration" for the candidates. Candidates are advised to go through the contents of the Declaration carefully.

And click on 'I have read Declaration & Agree' to successfully submit your application form.

Points to remember while filling UPSC civil services 2019 application form:

1. Changes are not allowed in the online application once it is submitted. If you wish to make any changes, you may submit a fresh application with requisite revision. 

2. The deadline for submission of online application for UPSC civil services exam 2019 is at 6pm on March 18, 2019. 

3. Online application form for UPSC CS prelims and IFoS is available in English and in Hindi languages. However, it can only be filled in English.

4. The filling of online application contains two parts. 

5. No change will be allowed in examination centres, optional subjects, medium of examination, compulsory Indian language for both Civil Services (Main) Examination and Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination once submitted.
