BJP national president Amit Shah and the RSS met the Yogi government, its ministers and BJP legislators to establish a perfect coordination between the government and the party. Shah, after listening to complaints of the party cadres, also directed the ministers to submit their ‘report cards’ to the party on October 29.

The marathon meeting presided by Shah was held at a private resort at Lucknow.

Shah's imperative was aimed at avoiding any negative publicity about the party. Sorting out differences immediately seems to be Shah's mantra.

At the meeting which went on for eight hours, the unanimous decision was to play up the Ram temple and Hindutva card, in the upcoming parliamentary polls.

It was also decided that for better coordination between the party and government at the ground level, such meetings should be held in all the six regions of the state and senior leaders from the party and the government should take part.

It may be recalled that BJP cadres have been complaining about poor coordination between the party leaders and ministers of the government. The party, MPs and its coalition partners have been accusing the government of neglecting them and recommendations for party men in their constituency.

Topics like dealing with the grand coalition of the opposition parties and embracing people from all classes like the OBCs and dalits were also discussed.

The meeting was also attended by party's national general secretaries Ram Lal and Bhupendra Yadav. Ram Lal said the BJP will fare better in 2019 than how it did in the Lok Sabha elections.
