In what will come as a major sigh of relief to class 10 students who recently finished their CBSE board examinations, a government official on Tuesday informed that the CBSE would not conduct re-examination of the mathematics paper that was allegedly leaked in Delhi and Haryana.
Anil Swarup, secretary with ministry of human resources development, tweeted that the CBSE decided against conducting the reexamination even in Delhi-NCR and Haryana, after “preliminary evaluation” and “keeping in mind the paramount interest of students.”
The HRD ministry has retweeted Swarup's message.
There were protests in many cities in the last week after the economics paper in class 12 and maths paper in class 10 was leaked. The government announced that there would be a re-examination for the economics paper on April 25.
