As 2017 comes to an end, YouTube has gone into 'Rewind' mode again, featuring a list of the top trending videos of the year. In seven minute video titled 'Shape of 2017', the video sharing platform brings in snippets of the most popular songs, videos, artists, memes and trends that stood out this year. While the list is topped by Luis Fonsi's Spanish song Despacito (with 4.4 billion views), it also features Ed Sheeran's Shape of You and Mi Gente by J Balvin and Willy William among others.
YouTube has released a separate list for India's top trending videos of 2017. With 19 million views, comedian Bhuvan Bam's BB Ki Vines video Group Study topped the list, followed by the much talked about Jimikki Kammal performance by Indian School of Commerce and Shape of You choreography by Kyle Hanagami. Fourth to tenth position are as follows: Chacha Ke Patake by Make Joke Of, That dumb friend in every group by Amit Bhadana, Unique rangoli design by Rangoli by Pooja Totala, actor Kangana Ranaut's interview to a Hindi TV channel, Cheez Badi Dance Cover by Mustafa and Kiara, Mehndi design by MehndiArtistica, and Life Mein Chahiye Izzat by Zakir Khan.
