Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil comedy-drama "Baththa" has crossed the ₹20 crore mark in India net collections, recording a strong recovery during its second weekend. On Day 10, Saturday, October 10, box office portal Sacnilk noted that the film earned ₹2.99 crore from 1,731 tracked shows, marking an impressive 81.2% jump over the previous day.

With this latest collection, "Baththa" has reached ₹20.10 crore in domestic net earnings, while its domestic gross stands at ₹23.25 crore. The film’s strong Saturday performance reflects positive audience word-of-mouth and growing interest among moviegoers.

The film also saw a positive uptick in theatre occupancy, increasing from around 22% on Friday to approximately 33%–39.5% on Saturday. Stronger attendance during evening and night shows helped drive the growth.

"Baththa" began its theatrical run with ₹1.50 crore on Day 1, followed by ₹2.70 crore on Friday and ₹2.75 crore on Saturday. It earned ₹3.10 crore on Sunday, taking its four-day total to ₹10.05 crore. After collecting ₹15.46 crore during its first week, the film added ₹1.65 crore on its second Friday before making a strong comeback on Saturday.

The film has already outperformed Vijay Sethupathi’s recent release "Ace", which ended its theatrical run with ₹8.95 crore in domestic net collections. It is also closing in on the domestic lifetime collection of "Merry Christmas", which earned ₹20.23 crore.

Directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, "Baththa" is now aiming for another strong day on Sunday to extend its box office run. With its reported production budget of ₹28 crore, the film still has ground to cover before recovering its full budget through theatrical earnings alone. Its second-weekend growth has given the film fresh momentum, and the audience response is likely to play an important role in its performance over the coming days.
