The acclaimed Malayalam investigative crime thriller, "Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar", headlined by Parvathy Thiruvothu, is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 9, 2026. The platform has confirmed the release date.

The film will begin streaming in its original language, Malayalam, as well as dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Directed by Shahad Nilambur, the film was released during the Onam season on September 11, 2026, and enjoyed a successful theatrical run, earning praise for the storytelling, twists, and the performances of the lead cast comprising Parvathy Thiruvothu (in her first-ever Malayalam police role), alongside Mathew Thomas, Vijayaraghavan, Unnimaya Prasad, and Sidharth Bharathan.

"Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar" follows Aleena Abraham (Parvathy), a woman who joins the police force as a Civil Police Officer through a compassionate appointment. The narrative shifts into a high-stakes psychological thriller when an unexpected murder case lands at her local police station, turning the rookie and her colleagues into suspects.

For a relatively lower-budget film, "Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar" has done considerably well at the box office. According to Sacnilk, it has collected over ₹40.93 crore at the worldwide box office. This collection comprises India net collection of ₹24.30 crore, India gross collection of ₹28.27 crore, and overseas collection of ₹12.66 crore.

The film hit its 3-week milestone on Day 21 (October 2, 2026), earning an additional ₹0.36 crore net on that day alone. Thanks to steady word-of-mouth, it held strong in theatres, officially cementing itself as the 9th highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2026.

The overwhelming majority of the domestic gross has come from Kerala, with minor contributions trickling in from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
