Former WWE wrestler and Mahabharat fame Saurav Gurjar was arrested on Sunday at the Mumbai Airport, in connection with alleged sexual exploitation based on false marriage promises.
The Gachibowli Police then produced him before a magistrate, who remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody based on the complaint of a 29-year-old woman, who alleged that he had deceived her by falsely promising to marry her.
The US-based woman alleged that she had first met Gurjar on Instagram in 2021, after which they eventually got into a relationship.
It was after this point that he allegedly assured her of marriage, persuading her to leave her job in the US to start a business together. She also claimed that they lived together in the US, and later in Hyderabad between October 2025 and March 2026.
However, Gurjar later distanced himself and allegedly stopped communicating with her when she raised the issue of marriage again, which she claimed had an impact on her career.
