Nivin Pauly’s "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" has made a powerful start at the box office, setting a new opening-day record for the actor. On Day 1, the film collected a net ₹4.90 crore in India from 1,507 shows. Its India gross stood at ₹5.70 crore, while overseas collections reached ₹10 crore. This took the film’s worldwide gross to ₹15.70 crore, as per figures shown by Sacnilk.

The opening makes "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" the biggest first-day grosser of Nivin Pauly’s career. It surpassed "Kayamkulam Kochunni", which earned ₹5.30 crore in India and ₹9.54 crore worldwide on its opening day in 2018. The new film also moved ahead of "Sarvam Maya", which collected ₹3.90 crore in India and ₹8.30 crore worldwide on Day 1 in 2025.

The film’s strong performance has been helped by the Onam 2026 holiday season and the popularity of director Girish A.D. The opening also marks a major return to the box office for Nivin Pauly, particularly in the romantic-comedy space.

"Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" features Nivin Pauly as Justin and Mamitha Baiju as Ashley, along with Sangeeth Prathap, Vinay Forrt, Shyam Mohan, Suresh Krishna, Bindu Panicker, Srinda, Meenakshi Raveendran, Roshan Shanavas and Abhiram Radhakrishnan.

Girish A.D. directs the film and co-wrote it with Kiran Josey. Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran produced it under Bhavana Studios. Vishnu Vijay composed the music, Ajmal Sabu handled cinematography, and Akash Joseph Varghese edited the film. (Read our review here.)
