Prime Video announces release date for 'Reacher' director's new heist comedy starring Stanley Tucci

Touted as a heist comedy, the English-language French-Italian production revolves around a thief who realises that the two young assistants he recruited also happened to be his children, played by Simona Tabasco ('The White Lotus') and Victor Belmondo ('Bastion 36').
Notably, Victor is the grandson of French acting legend Jean Paul Belmondo. Vincent, who has also directed episodes on “Bodyguard”, “The Tunnel” and “Borgia”, co-wrote the screenplay with David Wolstencroft ("Spooks", "The Escape Artist").
Interestingly, this is Prime Video's first English-language French Italian Original. The streamer has announced that "Masterplan" will release on October 16.
Per the official logline, "When a legendary thief sets his sights on the Mona Lisa, he recruits two young strangers to help him — Chiara, a sharp Italian cybercrime expert, and Jay, a swaggering French explosives specialist — before revealing they are long-lost siblings… and oh yes, by the way, he is their father. Thrown into a chaotic reunion they never asked for, this new family must learn to work together — and try not to kill each other — if they want any chance at pulling off the heist of the century."
With a story by Giacomo Durzi, Alessandro Fabbri, Alberto Vignati, Wolstencroft and Vincent, "Masterplan" is produced by the prestigious French production company Gaumont in association with Amazon MGM Studios. Locations include France and Italy.
