The first teaser of "The Gentlemen" Season 2 makes it evident that the next chapter in Guy Ritchie's expanded version of his 2019 film will move beyond the English countryside and take on the Italian mafia. Which means bigger stakes and more stunning locations. Netflix has announced an official premiere date of September 3, 2026, along with the first-look teaser trailer that confirms a major expansion of the lead characters' criminal operations.

The official Netflix logline states that the story picks up exactly one year after the events of the Season 1 finale. Eddie and Susie are fully aligned as partners running Bobby Glass's massive criminal empire. However, when Bobby begins making increasingly unsound decisions, it forces the duo to decide whether to take drastic action or risk losing everything.

In an official statement to Netflix Tudum, executive producer and co-writer Matthew Read says that Eddie's (Theo James) expansion plans bring him under the radar of Marco Moretti (Sergio Castellitto), a powerful Italian crime boss described as “extremely ruthless and elegant,” and the untrustworthy fixer Cico Maldini (Michele Morrone).

Aside from the returning lead cast members such as Theo James (Eddie Horniman), Kaya Scodelario (Susie Glass), Daniel Ings (Freddy Horniman), Ray Winstone (Bobby Glass), Giancarlo Esposito, Vinnie Jones, and Joely Richardson, the second season will introduce new characters and some celebrity cameos in the form of broadcaster Maya Jama and professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr.

Guy Ritchie, who created the show, has directed several episodes and is once again involved as writer, executive producer, and director on the episodes he worked on. The team shot in May 2025 and wrapped ahead of schedule, allowing the series to lock in its early September 2026 global release slot.
