Kannada filmmaker and actor Raj B. Shetty has officially joined the cast of Sivakarthikeyan's much-anticipated Tamil film, "Seyon", which marks a reunion with Kamal Haasan's production house Raaj Kamal Films International after the success of "Amaran". The announcement was made by the makers on July 5, 2026, on the occasion of Raj B. Shetty's birthday. 

The makers welcomed him with a striking birthday character poster showing his character standing in the shadows amidst a blaze. While official details are tightly under wraps, it's speculated that he is playing the principal antagonist. The actor, who is has been lately sought after in non-Kannada films too, most notably in Mammootty's Malayalam action thriller "Turbo". 

"Seyon" is touted as a rooted, rural action drama directed by Sivakumar Murugesan. It features Sivakarthikeyan in a rugged, village avatar (revealed in the first-look posters unveiled recently). Bhagyashri Borse ("Kaantha") plays the female lead. Music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. 

A highly respected figure in the Kannada film industry, widely acclaimed for writing, directing, and starring in breakthrough films like "Ondu Motteya Kathe" and "Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana", Shetty was recently in the acclaimed Kannada box office hit "Su from So", which also did well in Kerala.

"Seyon" marks Sivakarthikeyan’s 26th film which has R. Mahendran as a co-producer under his banner Turmeric Media. Other cast members include Bala Saravanan, Aruldoss, Raichal Rabecca, and Singampuli. Director of Photography is Vivek Vijayakumar, with San Lokesh handling editing duties. Stunts are being supervised by Supreme Sundar.
