Mohanlal's Drishyam 3 collected Rs 40 lakh net in India on Day 20, reports showed. The collection is said to be a 20 per cent drop from the Rs 50 lakh net collected on the previous day.

Drishyam 3's worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 236.11 crore. Domestically, the Malayalam project has earned Rs 107.33 crore net so far — taking the domestic gross collection to Rs 124.51 crore.

The Jeethu Joseph film added Rs 5 lakh to its kitty on Day 20 from screens outside India, the report said. As a result, the crime thriller's overseas gross collection now stands at Rs 111.60 crore.

According to available information, on Day 20, the Malayalam version accounted for Rs 39 lakh net with an overall occupancy of 11.15 per cent. The Telugu version added Rs 1 lakh net. It was earlier reported that the domestic net totals of Drishyam 3 have placed it marginally ahead of Mohanlal's highest global grosser L2: Empuraan. On Day 19, Drishyam 3 raked in Rs 106.93 crore compared to the Rs 104.78 crore of L2: Empuraan.

"A significant milestone is currently within reach for the film in the domestic market. With an India gross of ₹124.05 crore, Drishyam 3 is now just ₹51 lakh away from surpassing the domestic gross of L2: Empuraan, which stands at ₹124.56 crore. The film is expected to cross this mark by Day 20, becoming the second highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time in India, behind only the record-holder Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, which has a domestic gross of ₹183.96 crore," box office data accumulating website Sacnilk had said in a report on Tuesday.

As per Sacnilk data, Drishyam 3 collected ₹81.95 crore in its first week, followed by ₹20.68 crore in the second week. In its third week, collections stood at ₹0.80 crore on Friday, increased to ₹1.30 crore on Saturday, and further rose to ₹1.70 crore on Sunday. However, earnings dropped sharply on Monday, with the film collecting ₹0.50 crore.
