Mohanlal has officially announced his next feature — with the most exciting team in Malayalam cinema right now! Director Dileesh Pothan, known for acclaimed instant classics "Maheshinte Prathikaram", "Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum", and "Joji", has signed the superstar for his fourth project. It has a script by Syam Pushkaran ("Maheshinte Prathikaram", "Kumbalangi Nights") and Paulson Skaria ("Kaathal: The Core", "Athiradi").

The project has been titled "Nedumkandam Miracle". This has been a dream project long in the making. Achu Baby John is bankrolling the project under the banner of John & Mary Creative. It is expected to be different from Dileesh Pothan's previous films. The motion poster teases a family drama revolving around a... broken home?

The technical team also features some of the most talented and sought-after names currently working. Shyju Khalid, who shot "Maheshinte Prathikaram" and "Kumbalangi Nights", and editor Saiju Sreedharan, who also worked on the same films, are involved. Another of the aforementioned names' frequent collaborator, composer Sushin Shyam ("Kumbalangi Nights", "Manjummel Boys") is on board.

For his stupendous work so far, Dileesh, who is also a producer, enjoys the rare distinction of winning two consecutive National Film Awards for Best Feature Film — Maheshinte Prathikaaram (shared with producer Aashiq Abu) and "Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum" (shared with producers Sandip Senan and Anish M. Thomas). His third feature, a crime-drama inspired by Shakespeare's 'Macbeth', was released directly on Amazon Prime Video and garnered high praise from critics. It was his first foray into relatively darker territory, proving that he is as comfortable with making violent, bloody films as he is with lighthearted, upbeat family dramas.

Last seen in "Drishyam 3", Mohanlal's next release is "Athi Manoharam", marking his reunion with director Tharun Moorthy after the blockbuster success of "Thudarum". He also makes an appearance in his daughter Vismaya's acting debut "Thudakkam", directed by Jude Anthany Joseph (known for "2018”).
