Hulu's sports-comedy drama "Chad Powers" is officially returning for Season 2 on Thursday, September 3, the team.  All six episodes will be dropped at once. Co-created by and starring Glen Powell, the second season returns less than a year after its initial debut.

The original season revolved around a disgraced star quarterback named Russ Holliday (Powell), who, in the hope of a second chance, is forced to change his appearance and assume a new identity named Chad Powers after two unpleasant events. With prosthetics, a wig, and a fake moustache, he transforms himself into a goofy walk-on named Chad Powers for the struggling fictional football team South Georgia Catfish.

After teaming up with the school mascot Danny (Frankie Rodriguez), Chad walks onto the team. He begins as the backup but takes over the starting job in the season opener, leading the Catfish to an unexpected 5-0 winning streak and sparking national media attention. Meanwhile, Russ scrambles to protect his identity, resulting in chaotic misadventures like sneaking behind enemy lines in Knoxville to steal medical glue when his prosthetic face literally begins to peel off. During a tense moment in the finale, his identity is uncovered by another character, leading to an abrupt cliffhanger.

Season 2 will find Chad as an established superstar on the field for the South Georgia Catfish. However, his bizarre off-field behaviour draws intense scrutiny from Coach Jake Hudson (Steve Zahn) and teammate Gerry (Colton Ryan). With the walls closing in on his lie, Chad must rely on assistant coach and love interest Ricky (Perry Mattfeld) — the only one who knows his secret — to keep the ruse alive and push the team toward the College Football Playoff.

Michael Waldron developed the show with Powell, with Eli Manning (whose viral skit, Eli's Places, inspired the show) serving as executive producer.
