On Day 17 (the third Saturday), "Drishyam 3" did solid business, netting Rs 1.30 crore, compared to the 80 lakh it made on Friday. The Mohanlal film's total India gross comes up to Rs 121.52 crore, and total India net earnings to Rs 104.73 crore so far. With an overseas gross of Rs 111.35 crore, the worldwide total has now reached Rs 232.87 crore, overtaking the lifetime overseas gross of "Thudarum" (Rs 93.80 crore).

With this milestone, "Drishyam 3" has become Mohanlal's second film to cross the coveted Rs 100 crore gross milestone overseas. It currently stands as the third-highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time in international markets, trailing only "Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra" (Rs 119.90 crore) and  "L2: Empuraan" (Rs 142.25 crore). It is closely trailing the latter at the domestic box office.

While "Empuraan" remains ahead in total gross and overseas pace, "Drishyam 3", released on May 21, 2026, has emerged as a major box office contender, becoming the second-fastest Malayalam film to cross both the Rs 100 crore and Rs 200 crore milestones globally.

How much does 'Drishyam 3' need to beat 'Thudarum' lifetime gross?

"Drishyam 3" requires just Rs 2.51 crore to entirely eclipse the lifetime global total of "Thudarum" (Rs 235.38 crore). "Drishyam 3", with a domestic net of Rs 104.73 crore, is only Rs 2.04 crore away from matching the India net collection of "Empuraan" (Rs 106.77 crore). At its current trajectory, it is projected to become Malayalam's fifth-highest-grossing film in India in two days.

As of now, "Drishyam 3" is the 6th highest-grossing Malayalam film worldwide, behind "Vaazha 2" and "Thudarum".
