Nicolas Cage's 'Spider-Noir' to be out on Prime Video: Official streaming date, trailer, cast and crew details here

The first full-length trailer, which was showcased at the CCXPMX26 pop culture festival in Mexico City, presented striking visuals faithful to the original comic while staying true to the film noir aesthetic

Prime Video has released the first full-length trailer for "Spider-Noir", a new series starring Nicolas Cage, which sees the celebrated Hollywood actor making his debut in the long-form storytelling space on television.

The stunning trailer was showcased at the CCXPMX26 pop culture festival in Mexico City, which saw the attendance of over 2000 fans.

Actors Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, Karen Rodriguez, and creator/executive producer Oren Uziel introduced the series while unveiling an extended scene with a packed crowd, while Cage dropped a special video message.

A live-action adaptation of the Marvel comic 'Spider-Man Noir', the show follows Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage), a private investigator operating in 1930s New York, who takes on the duties of the only superhero in the city while grappling with a personal tragedy.

As was noted in the first-glimpse teaser, the series is serious about staying true to the noir aesthetic while being faithful to his version of Spider-Man from the comics. The footage evokes the atmosphere of some of the greatest films in the noir genre made in the 1940s/50s. The same goes for Cage, who is channelling Humphrey Bogart and the iconic private eye protagonists of classic detective fiction.

Sony Pictures Television is bankrolling the show for MGM+ and Prime Video. Subscribers of MGM+ can see the show beginning May 25, 2026, and Prime Video users can stream the show from May 27, 2026, in black-and-white or colour versions.

Aside from Cage ("Leaving Las Vegas", "Face/Off"), the series features Lamorne Morris ("Fargo", "New Girl"), Li Jun Li ("Sinners", "Babylon"), Abraham Popoola ("Atlas", "Slow Horses"), Jack Huston ("Boardwalk Empire", "Day of the Fight"), and Brendan Gleeson ("The Banshees of Inisherin", "Gangs of New York"), among others.

Emmy-winning director Harry Bradbeer ("Fleabag", "Killing Eve") directed and executive-produced the first two episodes. Co-showrunners Oren Uziel ("The Lost City", "22 Jump Street") and Steve Lightfoot ("Marvel’s The Punisher", "Shantaram") developed the series with the writing team behind "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" — Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal — all serving as executive producers. Cage is also serving as exec producer with Pavlina Hatoupis.
