After registering strong numbers on the fourth Saturday — the highest single-day net earnings since the third weekend — "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" did even better on Sunday, with a 9.3% growth, earning Rs 14.75 crore compared to the Rs 13.50 crore net gross on Saturday, as per box office tracker Sacnilk.
This takes the total India net to Rs 1,083.67 crore so far, and the total India gross to Rs 1,297.48 crore. The film's overseas total now stands at Rs 415.50 crore, bringing the combined worldwide gross to Rs 1,712.98 crore.
The fourth Saturday saw the Ranveer Singh movie registering a figure of Rs 13.50 crore, marking a massive 92.9% surge compared to the Rs 7.00 crore earnings on the fourth Friday.
On the fourth Saturday and Sunday, the Hindi-language registered the highest numbers as usual, with Rs 14.25 crore alone from the original version, across 10,330 shows at 25% occupancy.
The film achieved an occupancy rate of 24.3% on Saturday and 25.1% on Sunday, from 8,244 shows and 10,727 shows, respectively.
The rest of the 0.50 combines the earnings from the Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu dubbed versions.
The combined worldwide gross of "Dhurandhar" and "Dhurandhar 2" has surprassed the Rs 3000 crore mark.
"Dhurandhar 2" is expected to surpass the lifetime gross of "Pushpa 2: The Rule" in another week. The Ranveer Singh movie needs another 30 crore or more to beat the lifetime gross of "Pushpa 2". Notably, the Aditya Dhar spy thriller did better business on Day 25 when compared to the same timeline earnings of the Telugu blockbuster.
"Dhurandhar 2" is now the fourth Indian film to hit the Rs 1700 crore worldwide after "Dangal", "Baahubali 2", and "Pushpa 2".
