Trisha Krishnan breaks silence on R Parthiban's 'crude words' amid Vijay affair allegations

Actress Trisha Krishnan, who has been in the news since before she was seen alongside actor-politician Vijay at a reception ceremony, attacked actor-director R. Parthiban in an X post online, calling out his "crude words".

"A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous. It just makes stupidity louder. Crude words without knowledge say more about the speaker than the person they’re aimed at," she wrote in an X post on Sunday.

Trisha had been responding to Parthiban's public comment on her at the recently held Galatta Awards, as her alleged affair with Vijay dominates Kollywood conversations online amid Sangeetha Sornalingam's recently filed petition to divorce the TVK leader.

When asked to share his thoughts about actors he had collaborated with before, a picture of her came up on the screen. Trisha has since alleged that her photo was included "at the last minute" due to an individual's request. 

“This Kundavai should be kept at home for a few days. That’s good. Don’t let her come out,” he had said at the event, referring to her character from Ponniyin Selvan, in light of her recent appearance alongside Vijay at the reception.

Parthiban later apologised for his comments on Sunday, admitting that what he had said was "wrong".

"Aside from regretting, there is no other way," he added in an X post.

The affair rumours began with Sangeetha's divorce petition recently filed in a Chengalpattu court—after nearly 30 years of marriage—as well as her interim petition to stay at their Chennai residence. The couple currently have two children: Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha.

The rumours intensified when Vijay and Trisha arrived at the reception ceremony together. The two walked together to the stage as they greeted the newlyweds, posed together for pictures (that have since gone viral) and later left at the same time.
