After a long wait, the official teaser of Toxic is here and it has created extreme reactions on the social media. The production values are being lauded as the film is mounted on a lavish scale and has been in the making for a few years now. The action appears to be slick but there is a stunning level of violence, if this promo is anything to go by.
The show stealer of this Toxic teaser is Yash's second look that comes at the fag end of the promo. The clean shaven appearance is an absolute inversion of the other Yash look which has his trademark bearded look that became iconic in the KGF series. The latest speculation is that Yash could possibly be playing a dual role in the film.
Not just that, Yash could also be doing the hero-villain act himself, similar to the arc in Vijay's The Greatest of All Time, although that film is obviously of a different genre. In the Toxic teaser, Yash in his clean shave look is seen uttering 'I'm home daddy!'. For those unaware, Yash's bearded character Raya says in the character teaser, 'Daddy's home'.
Of course, we could be totally wrong and these could just be different appearances of the same character. But there seems to be hints in the teaser to suggest that Yash is playing father and son. If this turns out to be true, it could be the biggest x-factor for the film, particularly with the hype that Yash's second look has created.
Toxic is slated to release on March 19, 2026 in all major South Indian languages while also being dubbed in Hindi. However, Dhurandhar 2 is also slated to release on the same date and this could be an iconic box office clash, if both films eventually release on the same day.
