At a recent event, Fahadh Faasil revealed that he is working on a sequel to his biggest blockbuster Aavesham. The plan is bring it out in 2027 or 2028, hopes the actor who added that he has been asked by many about doing a follow-up.
The actor also revealed what character he is playing in the Mahesh Narayanan-directed thriller co-starring Mammootty and Mohanlal. For those who don't wish to read anything about the film might want to skip the following. The actor shared that he is playing the antagonist in the espionage thriller.
"The next Malayalam release is 'Patriot' in which I am working with Mammootty sir and Mohanlal sir. It is a blessing to be able to share a screen with them. Like everyone else, I am also excited. The film will be released on April 23, 2026. I play the villain in 'Patriot'," said Fahadh.
This film, which will see Mammootty and Mohanlal coming together after nineteen years, is being made on the biggest budget in Malayalam till date. The character posters of the film, which were released earlier, were also impressive. Patriot was shot over a year in more than ten schedules in various countries.
After films like Take Off and Malik, the biggest highlight of Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, is its star cast. After Twenty20, all the leading stars of Malayalam are coming together in this. Apart from Mammootty and Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathi are playing the lead roles.

The 'Take Off' and 'C U Soon' director's latest project also sees Kunchako Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathi in key roles. Aattam-fame Zarin Shihab is also a part of the film alongside many others.
The explosive on-screen reunion of Mohanlal and Mammootty comes 16 years after Joshiy's action thriller 'Twenty: 20' (2008), which saw the two veteran actors take each other head on over a medical college murder.
Fahadh was last seen in Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira with Kalyani Priyadarshan.
