We are officially into the 31st day of Dhurandhar's theatrical run but the momentum remains intact for Ranveer Singh's latest release. The spy thriller has rewritten the rules of the box office and has torn the record books apart since its release on December 5. The fifth weekend has once again started on a superb note for the film.
On its fifth Friday, Dhurandhar collected Rs 8.50 crore nett approximately and on Saturday, the numbers jumped to Rs 11.50 crore nett. It means Rs 20 crore nett in just two days for a film that it is in its fifth week. Early trends suggest further growth on its 31st day, although the jumps won't be as drastic as they were in previous weeks.
Today is the final day before the long Christmas-New Year vacation time ends as schools and colleges mostly are set to reopen on January 5. As a result, the night shows for Sunday might not show as much trend as the prime time shows. Nevertheless, Dhurandhar is expected to clock around Rs 13-14 crore nett.
The 31-days figures of Dhurandhar will be around Rs 733-734 crore, which is just approximately Rs 4-5 crore nett away from Pushpa 2's Hindi nett record in India. This record will be broken on Monday and Dhurandhar will become the biggest Hindi blockbuster in India, although that tag will sit properly only if it can beat Pushpa 2's figures in all the circuits as well.
It will be interesting to see if Dhurandhar can surpass Pushpa 2 in all major areas and currently, it is pretty much 50-50 for the Aditya Dhar directorial.
