Sarvam Maya is on the rampage at the box office. Nivin Pauly's latest release is a huge statement from the star that he is well and truly back. The Christmas release is a runaway winner and with no competition till the Pongal-Sankranti releases arrive, Sarvam Maya is unstoppable at the box office.
After a strong seventh day (New Year's Eve) where it collected Rs 3.50 crore, Sarvam Maya is showing a huge jump in collections on its eighth day, making full use of New Year's Day. Tracked gross for Day 7 was Rs 3.12 crore and Day 8 has already recorded Rs 3.30 crore tracked gross by 6 pm, suggesting a massive end to the day.
With the prime time shows yet to come, Sarvam Maya has an outside chance of breaching the Rs 5 crore mark on its second Thursday and even if it doesn't, the numbers should be somewhere close to this. The extended eight-day first week numbers for the film should be around Rs 35-36 crore and the second weekend should add another Rs 10 crore at least.
Nivin's famous family support is back in full swing and the vacation season is only boosting the collections of the Sarvam Maya. The worldwide gross till date should be around Rs 70 crore, although the updated collections will be obtained only after we get details from all overseas territories.
If and when it gets to the Rs 100 crore mark globally, Sarvam Maya will be Nivin's first film in this coveted club. Considering the small scale nature of this film, Sarvam Maya's incredible box office run indicates Nivin's stardom that had gotten rusty over the last six years due to poor choice of films.
