The new season of Fallout is coming to fans a day earlier than previously announced. Amazon Prime Video confirmed the news. Season 2 will premiere on Dec. 16. It was initially announced that this season would premiere on Dec 17.
Starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and Frances Turner, the second season picks up from the events of the Season 1 finale.
Season 2 will feature a total of eight episodes, beginning with the premiere, followed by one episode each week, until the finale on Feb. 4, 2026.
According to the official logline, Season, like the first, is based on the Bethesda Game Studios video game franchise of the same name — the story of "haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them."
The show is backed by Kilter Films. Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham serve as executive producers alongside Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner. Geneva and Graham are also the creators and showrunners. Other exec producers include Todd Howard, Bethesda Game Studios, and James Altman (for Bethesda Softworks). The show is a joint venture between Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films, produced in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
