Bison Kaalamaadan has crossed Rs 50 crore in worldwide collection within two weeks of release, reported Sacnilk.
The sports drama, despite initial hiccup, has been propelled by strong word-of-mouth. Bison Kaalamaadan has grossed Rs 52.85 crore in 12 days worldwide. This include Rs 45.35 crore in domestic gross collection and Rs 7.5 crore in overseas collection.
As of Day 13, Bison Kaalamaadan bagged Rs 39.12 crore in net domestic collection, according to Sacnilk. It rake in around Rs 50 lakh on Day 13, as per early estimates.
In the first week, it minted Rs 27.25 crore in net domestic collection, thanks to the festival weekend. Bison Kaalamaadan, which opened with Rs 2.7 crore collection on Day 1, increased its earnings in the following days. It collected Rs 3.4 crore on Day 2, Rs 4.5 crore on Day 3, Rs 6 crore on Day 4, Rs 5.9 crore on Day 5, Rs 3.15 crore on Day 6 and Rs 1.6 crore on Day 7.
In the second week, Bison Kaalamaadan collected Rs 1.75 crore on Day 8, Rs 3.4 crore on Day 9, Rs 3.75 crore on Day 10, Rs 1.2 crore on Day 11 and Rs 1.3 crore on Day 12.
Directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios, Bison Kaalamaadan is inspired by the life of Manathi Ganesan, a kabbadi player. Dhruv Vikram won hearts with his performance while the movie's gripping narrative has also received praise.
Other cast include Anupama Parameswaran, Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan, and Azhagam Perumal. Music is composed by Nivas K. Prasanna while editing is done by Sakthi Thiru and cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K.
